Apparently our Mayor hasn’t been completely truthful. If you have questions as to the validity of the document that was attached to the forum, why don’t you just call the number for the person that published it??? Would you care to explain exactly what it is that our Mayor has done for our town? I would love to know! As far as the Mayor coming out with the truth….I'll be interested to see just how forthcoming he is at our next council meeting. I’ve already heard that he’s stated that it’s not going to be discussed during the next council meeting. I would appreciate a response from our Mayor in reference to that rumor.

Ok, Mayor. So does this mean that you will be prepared to discuss this issue at the next council meeting?? We elected you into office and deserve some answers. Apparently they can only come from you since at least two of your fellow council members know nothing about any of this! Hopefully by the night of the meeting you will have your story straight since its already obvious that you are not being completely truthful, at least about the court clerk issue!!

=D>I agree, the TRUTH always comes out!
Funny how if it WAS the truth the person who submitted the UNSOLICITED documents felt the need to remain anonymous. Why hide if it's the TRUTH?>:)
Meanwhile, our Mayor has come out in this forum to explain the TRUTH. I think the mayor is doing an outstanding job. Thank you for your dedication Jack!=D>

Remember the Truth Always Comes Out

It is ashame that we the tax payers have to deal with the constant rumors every budget year; or for the first time is the post from Nilo50 FACT not FICTION. I think that we, the residence need to do our homework and find out the truth to everything that is being disclosed and or not being disclosed. In deed it is a fact that Laurel Springs and Magnolia have been in discusion about consolidation of the court services. The Mayor along with council has attended several meetings with Magnolia's council. As of this time, I can say with fact that the negotiations are at least complete or close to being completed. The Borough of Laurel Springs was made aware that they could save anywhere from Four Thousand Dollars to Six Thousand Dollars for sharing this service. This is something that helps both towns when everyone is on the same page and works together to get the job done correctly; however after this meeting took place a representative that works with both the Borough of Stratford and the Borough of Magnolia approached Laurel Springs Mayor and told him that now it is time to look into consolidating Police services. As i stated above if your read the post that was posted by Mayor Severson he states "This, too,is false" implying that no talks occured pertaining to any court mergers. Once again who is telling the TAX PAYERS the TRUTH. Again Mayor Severson advises that no meeting have occured but what about the two meeting that were scheduled but were cancelled. At this time, i think that we, the TAX PAYERS who voted these OFFICIALS into office should take a night out and DEMAND the truth during a council meeting.

Paving issues and Grammar Police!

Dear Jim and Rich,

I hope you both can address the paving issues we have. If you walk around town, you'll see that several of the streets nearest the lake are in SERIOUS need of maintenance. Oh - and a neighbor showed me your brochure today (where's mine???). It was quite fancy actually and PLEASE do check the grammar. It's "old-fashioned hard word" not "old fashion hard work". Please do get down to that OLD-FASHIONED hard work so our taxes can go DOWN. Thanks!
