MISSED COLLECTION

 Trash or Recycling

Residents can call the Magnolia Public Works Department at

(856) 784-6162. Call on the day of collection, if your sure the truck has missed your house.


PLEASE NOTE: The Magnolia Public Works Department does not pick up commercial waste, liquid waste, commercial construction debris, medical waste or any other hazardous materials. During snow emergencies, residents may experience disruption in their on-time refuse and recycling collection service.


Public Works


Help our community stay clean and green on trash collection day and throughout the week. Trash and recyclable materials should be placed at the curb between 7:00 PM the night before collections and 7:00 AM on the collection day. Please respect your neighbors by removing the empty containers by 7:00 PM that day.

For very large amounts of brush the Borough truck can be rented for $50 (contact Borough Hall at (856) 784-0500 Mon - Thurs).


Large landscape buckets can be borrowed from Public Works for brush (call (856) 784-1477).


Please make sure that all trash cans used for brush have drain holes in their bottom so that they do not fill with water.


Help keep our streets clean, please do not place any loose yard waste in the street.


Trash



Trash Can

 

  • Trash, recyclables and newspapers should be placed curbside between 7:00 PM the night prior collection and 7:00 AM the day of collection.
  • Empty cans should be removed from curbside by 7:00 PM on collection day.
  • Carpet should be cut and tied into 4-foot bundles not exceeding 50 pounds each.
  • Discarded wood should be cut and tied into 6-foot bundles not exceeding 50 pounds each. Nails should be removed or flattened against the surface to prevent injury to collection personnel.
  • Railroad ties need to be cut under 6-feet in length and must weight less than 50 pounds.
  • Private contractors must independently dispose of any construction waste or demolition debris that their business generates.
  • Trash should be placed in plastic or metal containers to prevent animals from tearing through plastic bags.

 




Latex Paint


Latex paint can be air dried or by adding kitty litter.

Dried out latex paint cans can be placed on top of your trash with the lid removed so it can be seen.

 




Liquids


NO LIQUIDS OF ANY TYPE MAY BE PLACED IN THE TRASH.


Liguids are considered hazardous waste and recycled by the county.
